NBA Finals Predictions: Does Lebron get closer to the ghost?

NBA Finals Predictions: Does Lebron get closer to the ghost?     So we're finally here, the last 7 days I've been mostly looking at old NBA Hardwood Classics because I didn't want to watch the over detailed coverage that can get shown on ESPN and FS1 when they have to find content for 7 days without any games. I also took a close look at the two teams that we all knew were going to be here on June 1st. And while doing some film work I was holding off on making my prediction although I've had my winner in my head (and heart admittedly) long before. But before I give my prediction I'm going to break down how I reached my conclusion.   First in and foremost, the most important factor in this finals is pace that's right PACE. Golden State is a team that wants the game around 120-25ish range. At this pace no one really has to sacrifice shots, KD gets his, Steph gets his, Klay gets some and Draymond doesn't need many shots anyway. If the games are a

Lebron is the best player ever...in the first 46 minutes. OH REALLY Stephen A.!?

Lebron is the best player ever...in the first 46 minutes. OH REALLY Stephen A.!? Uhhhhhhhh smdh this mf Stephen A. Smith, how you keep a job when FLAGRANTLY keep lying and tilting facts to perpetuate a narrative to support you boys MJ and Kobe. How he is on a national televised show and can continue to give unbalanced reviews of players particularly Lebron James is asinine as he himself would put it. This won't be a long post because it doesn't have to be, hell the image above says enough but I'm going to go in just a bit on this So first disclosure is my references will be for PLAYOFF competition only, Jordan has way better regular season clutch stats in fact in the regular season Lebron is not good at all really in clutch moments (that could also be because in the regular season Lebron doesn't have many close games as compared to the playoffs but its a knock on Lebron still). And if you want to knock Lebron on regular season lack of cluthness (if th

How Michael Jordan's retirement(s) aid his aura of invincibility

How Michael Jordan's retirement(s) aid his aura of invincibility     Now this post isn't to indict MJ and say that he was ducking competition or any particular team because he wouldn't know who the hell he'd be facing in the playoffs and in the finals if he made their before he retired. So I wanted to get that out the way first but what this post IS going to detail is how the timing of his retirement(s) have aided in the legacy of Michael Jordan.   Now everyone knows the history of Michael Jordan as far as his accomplishments, style of play that defied gravity and dropped jaws across the country, his overall style with baggy (for the time) shorts and gold chains down to the bald head and hoop earring. And me being a full disclosure person I'll be upfront and mention that I am a big Lebron James fan and the way things are nowadays you can't like Lebron and MJ according social media law. But with that said this post is going to be revealing

Kyrie with a BIG game, did he save Lebron? LOL yeah that made me laugh too

Image
Last night in Cleveland Kyrie Irving had his best game since the 2016 NBA Finals with 42 points and a sick fake behind the back pass to Kevin Love that almost made Jae Crowder pull his groin. Kyrie has been somewhat subpar this postseason by his standards only (Only lol) averaging 23 points per this postseason (he avg 25 against the Pacers on 42% shooting and 22ppg on 38% against the Raptors though he did avg 8 assists a game in that series). So last night's showing was a welcome sight for Cleveland fans (or anti Warriors fans) but instead of us today just celebrating a great signature game by a great player we have (or Stephen A does anyway smh) to ask did he save Lebron. Lol part me has to laugh because I fall for this media ookie doke every damn time. WHENEVER any and I mean ANY of Lebron's teammates have good game like they're paid to do the first thing people run to is "Oh (insert player name here) saved Lebron tonight. Lebron should be so thankful to have

Are we REALLY still debating Kobe vs Lebron!?!?

(Kobe Bryant being guarded by Tayshuan Prince and Rip Hamilton in the 2004 NBA Finals were he went 4-13 with 11 points and 4 turnovers. Kobe followed this up with a 8-25 and 7-21 shooting performances in the final 3 games of the finals en route to losing 4 games to 1 to the underdog Pistons) Welcome to Verbal Ballin! This will be your home for deep thought provoking and controversial sports content, so sit back grab a drink get ready to THINK! Ok, I wanted to keep the intro short and sweet because I am so hot right now (well more flustered) with Stephen A. Smith of ESPN's First Take (what else is new right lol), I am in my living room holding my 6 day year old daughter in one hand and feeding my 19 month old son hot cakes with other as Mr. Smith and Max Kellerman debate whether Lebron James has already passed Kobe Bryant as a player off of Lebron's horrible performance in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics without their best player. Now th
